Dear friends,
We’re fine-tuning our repertoire for the ALMOST-ALL-NEW sopranorama vii!
“ALMOST? Wait a minute,” we hear you muttering, “what kind of rip-off are they planning to foist on their adoring public this year?”
Actually, that’s just a sort of waiver we use to allow ourselves to bring back an old favorite or two, like Triplets, or Siboney, or 16 Tons...
We’ve traversed the globe, tirelessly searching dusty garrets and moldy cellars (regardless of our allergies), copying ancient manuscripts by hand (with quills we’ve plucked from local geese), re-financing our homes to buy the rarest of arrangements from the last living relatives of the finest composers... all in the service of providing the best sopranorama! available anywhere in the world!
sopranorama vii! will feature a goodly dollop of tasty French chansons (Fauré, Satie, Brel); some bracing Gilbert and Sullivan, and something from the court of Henry the 8th (not a severed head); a visit from a former US president; a memento of Glenn Campbell & Bobby Gentry; and a massive tribute to Leroy Anderson! If you think you know BUGLERS’ HOLIDAY, think again...
